Rebate is available to Medicare Card holders with a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral from a GP or a Psychiatrist. Read more about the Better Access initiative here.
The Medicare rebate is valid for the first 6 sessions, after which your referring Doctor will review whether further sessions are needed - an additional 4 sessions can be accessed. There is a limit of 10 rebatable sessions per calendar year with a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan.
The current Medicare rebate is $92.90.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
